  • South African citizen and resident of the Eastern Cape Province
  • Completed a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with admission to a diploma or degree
  • Registered or accepted at a public tertiary institution
  • Studying toward an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7; minimum 360 credits)
  • Able to demonstrate financial need
  • Total household income must not exceed R467 790 per year
  • Proof of residence must be provided

Applicants must meet the following minimum NSC achievement levels:

  • English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 5 / Level 4
  • Mathematics: Level 5
  • Mathematical Literacy: Level 6
  • Accounting: Level 6
  • Economics: Level 6

Applications must include a motivation letter quoting reference ECPT/BURSARIES/2026, along with certified copies of:

  • Letter of admission or proof of registration
  • South African ID
  • Final academic results
