About the Apprenticeship Programme
The City of Tshwane, through its Learning and Development Division, is offering apprenticeship opportunities in six technical trades for 2026. This programme combines structured training with practical, on-the-job experience in real municipal projects.

What You’ll Earn

Who Can Apply
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- South African youth aged 15–25 years
- Unemployed and residing in Gauteng
- Hold one of the following:
- Technical Matric
- NCV Level 4
- N2 certificate (with Mathematics, Science, and trade-related theory)
- Strong interest in becoming an artisan
- Willing to work hard, follow instructions, and complete training
- Must not already have a trade certificate in the applied field
