About the Royal Bafokeng Holdings Bursary
Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH) invests in the long-term development of skills within the Royal Bafokeng Nation. The RBH Bursary Programme is designed to support talented, unemployed youth who want to pursue a professional career in chartered accountancy, one of South Africa’s most in-demand qualifications.
The bursary is awarded annually and may be renewed each year, provided the student maintains strong academic performance.

What the Bursary Covers
The RBH Bursary is a fully funded package, which includes:
- Registration and tuition fees – fully covered
- Book allowance – for prescribed textbooks and study material
- Personal allowance – monthly stipend for living expenses
- One-off laptop allowance – to support your studies
- Accommodation and meals:
- On-campus housing and meals OR
- A living allowance if you stay off campus

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Requirements)
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be under the age of 35
- Be unemployed
- Be in Matric 2025 or have completed Matric
- Have achieved:
- Level 5 (60–69%) in Mathematics (pure Maths only)
- Level 5 or higher in English
- Level 5 or higher in Accounting
- Intend to study BCom Accounting Sciences (CA Stream) in 2026
- Have applied to a SAICA-accredited public university
- Be entering first year in 2026
- Not be receiving NSFAS, another bursary, or financial aid
- Be a resident of the Royal Bafokeng Nation
