iSimangaliso Wetland Park Bursary 2026 (KZN Students)

The iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority has opened applications for its 2026 bursary programme.

This opportunity is designed for first-year university students from land claimant and neighbouring communities near the park in KwaZulu-Natal.

Unlike traditional bursaries, this is a top-up support programme that works alongside NSFAS, ensuring students from local communities don’t drop out due to hidden costs.

Land Claimant Community Member

Verified member of an iSimangaliso Land Claimant group.

Resident of uMkhanyakude District

Living in communities near the park.

Resident of Mfolozi (Sokhulu Area)

Special priority consideration applies.

Proof of residence or official community confirmation is required.
