This internship is designed to provide work-based training in IT support within an active mining environment.

What You’ll Do During the Internship

As an IT Intern, you will gain experience in real workplace systems and operations, including:

  • Setting up and troubleshooting computers for employees
  • Assisting with software, systems, and basic database support
  • Managing and maintaining IT equipment
  • Providing daily IT support to staff
  • Working under the guidance of an experienced IT mentor

You’ll build both technical IT skills and important workplace skills such as communication, time management, and problem-solving.

  • Have completed Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Hold a valid Code 8 driver’s licence
  • Are willing to travel to different work sites

  • Communicate clearly in writing and speaking
  • Are eager to learn and take instructions
  • Can pass the medical fitness requirements under the Mine Health and Safety Act
