About the Field Guiding Skills Programme
This is not a learnership, but a structured skills development programme designed to prepare young people for careers in:
- Field guiding

The programme combines classroom-based training with real workplace experience inside a national park. SANParks will also cover training-related expenses when participants are required to attend training away from their home area.
