About the 2025/26 Agricultural Graduate Internship Programme

The Northern Cape DAERL has officially opened applications for its 2025/26 Unemployed Agricultural Graduate Entrepreneurial Development Programme. This initiative provides 80 highly practical placements across all five district municipalities of the Northern Cape.

This is more than a standard internship; it’s a fully immersive, enterprise-focused training programme aimed at developing the next generation of agricultural professionals and successful agripreneurs.

Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be considered for this opportunity:

  • ✔ Be unemployed South African citizens
  • ✔ Be between 18 and 45 years old
  • ✔ Be first-time entrants to any government internship programmes
  • ✔ Hold a relevant qualification such as:
    • Agriculture
    • Nature Conservation
    • Environmental Affairs
    • Environmental Management
    • Or related fields (Diploma/Degree level)
  • ✔ Women and people living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
