Job Purpose
To complete SAICA articles in line with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Training Regulations while gaining real-world banking experience through the Nedbank CA Training Programme.
What You’ll Be Doing
During your three-year training contract, you will:
- Rotate through different business units within Nedbank
- Deliver work within agreed timelines while adding value to business processes
- Proactively manage your learning and development in line with SAICA technical and professional competencies
- Participate in programme committees such as Marketing, Recruitment, and Social Committees
- Contribute to Nedbank’s transformation and culture-building initiatives
- Develop professional judgement, leadership skills, and business awareness
Skills & Exposure You’ll Gain
Over the programme, trainees will gain exposure aligned with the SAICA CA of the Future competency framework, including:
- Governance models and business strategy
- Financial and business strategy
- Reporting fundamentals and financial statements

Required Qualifications
Undergraduate Qualification
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, or
- SAICA-accredited Accounting undergraduate degree
Postgraduate Qualification
- Honours in Accounting, or
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, or
- An equivalent qualification that provides access to SAICA’s Initial Test of Competence (ITC)
