The South African Social Security Agency will place successful candidates at its regional office in Kimberley.

Which SASSA TVET Internships Are Available?
SASSA has four work-integrated learning placements across two career streams.
Fraud and Risk Management
The Executive Support: Fraud and Risk Management division has two placements for candidates with an N6 qualification in:
- Public Management
- Public Administration

This stream can help learners gain practical exposure to administrative controls, organisational risk processes and public-sector operations.
Communications and Marketing
The Executive Support: Communications and Marketing division has two placements for candidates with an N6 qualification in:
- Marketing Management
- Public Relations

Training duration: 18 months
Monthly stipend: R5 639,75
Participants will gain workplace exposure within a professional communications and marketing environment.
Who Qualifies for the Programme?
Candidates must:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be South African citizens
- Be unemployed
- Have completed an N6 National Certificate
- Possess a statement of results for the relevant field
- Require practical workplace exposure to complete their qualification
- Meet the requirements of their selected training stream
Applicants must need between six and 18 months of practical work experience under the requirements of their academic programme.
However, SASSA states that successful candidates will receive a minimum 18-month work-integrated learning contract.
What Will Successful Candidates Receive?
Successful candidates will receive:
- An 18-month work-integrated learning placement
- An all-inclusive monthly stipend of R5 639,75
- Practical experience in a professional public-sector environment
- Supervised workplace training
- Exposure related to their completed N6 qualification
- Experience that supports the completion of their academic requirements
The programme does not guarantee permanent employment after the training period.
How Must Candidates Submit Their Applications?
Candidates must complete and sign the New Z83 form. Those who need assistance can use the New Z83 form download and completion guide.
Each initial submission must contain:
- A completed and signed New Z83 form
- A comprehensive curriculum vitae
- The correct internship stream
- The relevant reference number
Candidates should clearly state the selected position and reference number on their documents.
The curriculum vitae should include qualifications, institutions attended, experience, responsibilities and accurate dates. It should also provide the applicant’s identity number, demographic information and contactable references.
SASSA does not require copies of qualifications, identity documents or driving licences during the initial submission stage. Instead, the agency will request supporting documents from shortlisted candidates.

When Do Applications Close?
Applications close on 17 July 2026.
The notice does not provide a specific closing time. Therefore, candidates should submit their documents early enough to avoid missing the deadline.

What Screening Will SASSA Conduct?
SASSA will verify qualifications, references and personal information before making training offers.
The selection process may also include:

Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain an evaluation from the South African Qualifications Authority.
Furthermore, SASSA will communicate with shortlisted candidates only. Applicants who receive no response within three months after the closing date should regard their applications as unsuccessful.
